SETTING THINGS RIGHT

Conclusion

Two days later they laid Jimmy to rest. Most of the town attended the funeral Teaspoon held on tight to Rachel. The rider he felt closest to was gone. Buck had ridden back to the army. He couldn't bury another friend.

Cody paid for everything saying that it was the least he could do. Though he had teased Jimmy a lot but loved him like a brother.

Kid held Lou up and leant her his strength he fought hard to have. They had made their peace, when Kid went to see him at the undertaker. And Lou had returned to him, he realized that they all had been right. She loved him and never even noticed the scars on his face. She was helping him to heal the scars that still haunted him on the inside. He made a promise to Jimmy, there at the grave, to respect Lou's abilities and never doubt her again.

Rachel and what was left of the riders watched that evening as a rider with two companions rode into the sun. Teaspoon called out to them, "Ride safe, son."
